Sonic believes in looking to the future, giving back to society and adopting sustainable practices to reduce carbon footprint and preserve the planet for future generations. With this effort in mind, Sonic was the 1st company in India to get ProTerra certified by working with 5000 farmers in Jhabhua region of Madhya Pradesh for Non-GMO Soya Proteins and Lecithin. This is a revolutionary breakthrough for Sonic Biochem and the ProTerra Foundation as this aims for sustainable farming practices in a complex environment. The ProTerra certification focuses on various aspects of Indian farmers such as responsible labor practices & human rights, equal pay and social status of workers, biodiversity conservation, environmental management, use of sustainable resources, prohibiting GMO seeds, adoption of good agricultural practices, and effective water and waste management.
Sonic Biochem has been manufacturing and supplying ProTerra-certified proteins and lecithin for various applications globally. In the midst of the supply-chain disruptions, the company has been very consistent in delivering quality and sustainable products and solutions to its partners. Sonic Biochem sees the future in plant-based sustainable ingredients, lecithin & phospholipids for healthcare, nutraceutical and functional foods; a niche market which has minimal impact on the environment.
Sonic Biochem thanks the ProTerra Foundation for its continued support and service in the company’s bid to reduce the impact on the environment. Sonic also recognizes and appreciates the work done by the ProTerra Foundation all across the world to make this planet healthier and greener.
