ProTerra Foundation remote audits
How is ProTerra Foundation coping with this new situation we all have been through? Learn More about our strategy that prioritizes health and safety of our partners, and, at the same time, guarantees the continuation of our activities.
Dear ProTerra Network members, Parties interested in sustainability certification and Market economic players,
The ProTerra Foundation has to rethink with the business partners the way it operates in response to the Coronavirus (COVID-19). We are trying our best to support businesses and members to deal with the challenges and uncertainty generated by this new situation.
Our highest priority is the health and safety of our partners and those with whom we interact. At the same time, we wish to guarantee the continuation of our activities and services to ProTerra members and business partners.
Also, our strategic partner FoodChain ID, with auditors and employees working from home, will be doing inspections of soybean crushers and sugarcane mills remotely where possible to protect them from infection.
Based on risk assessments, FoodChain ID may conduct ProTerra remote audits in extraordinary circumstances, where feasible and applicable, without compromising the integrity of information, quality of audit report and certification. For the purpose of this protocol, certified organizations are industrial processors, processors of certified ingredients, chain of custody organizations, trading companies, storage and transport.
Should you need more information, or if questions or comments arise, please do not hesitate to contact the ProTerra Foundation.
