October 7, 2020

ProTerra Foundation organized a webinar session, held on Sep 30, aimed to discuss about version 4.1 of the ProTerra Standard and supply chain risks, as well as to highlight the benefits of being certified and taking part in the ProTerra Network.

With more than 160 registered participants, the session was started by Emese Brosz, Managing Director of the ProTerra Foundation, who provided a brief introduction of ProTerra, its objectives, organization and governance, before telling more about supply chain risks and how the ProTerra Standard addresses these issues.

Alice Correa, Member of the Certification and Standard Committee, explained more about the requirements and the most relevant indicators of the ProTerra Standard, with emphasis on key issues such as GMO presence, pesticide use, land conversion and labour conditions.

The guest speakers, Patricia Campos, Sustainability manager at CJ Selecta[1] (Brazil) and Nick Halliwell, Director of International Sales for AdamPol Soya[2] (Ukraine) presented their practical experience with implementing the ProTerra Standard, showing best practices and giving a market update.

It was a very interesting learning experience! If you would like to listen to the webinar, you can download the presentations and the webinar’s recording.
